Clark Fork Rush Victorious in Defensive Dog Fight!
The Clark Fork Rush traveled to Sandy UT to take one of the southern division’s top teams, the Utah Fighting Irish. The Rush scored on a short Glessner run to take the lead 6-0 on the games’ opening drive. This touchdown would prove very important as it was the only points scored the entire game. “Our defense came up huge!” Said head coach Kyle Rausch. The Rush defense did indeed come up big when it counted as they stymied a late game drive for the Irish offense that took the ball all the way down to the Rush 3 yard line during the final two minutes of the contest. “Our defense had been making big plays the whole game and none were bigger than those final four plays, what a way to finish a game!” said GM Kris Rausch. “I felt the offense did a great job controlling the ball and tempo of the game, we just couldn’t seem to finish drives.” The Rush return home this weekend to face off with the Glacier Knights in a Montana division battle that is a key game for both squads who are fighting it out for a wild card berth into the RMFL AA playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7:30 Saturday night at Henry Lavoie Stadium in Frenchtown.
